My name is Adam Hughes and I am a senior studying informatics with an individualized cognate in sociology and minor in human-centered computing. This semester I am the team lead for the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, where my team and I will be developing a modern website to fit the Orchestra’s brand using WordPress. This is my fifth semester in the clinic, but my first time leading a team. I am eager to use the skills I have learned in the classroom and in my many semesters in the ServeIT Clinic to manage my team and create something beautiful for the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and its audience!

Alex Flinchum

Bloomington Symphony Intern
My name is Alex Flinchum, and I’m a Junior majoring in Informatics and minoring in Computer
Science. This is my second semester of working in Serve IT. I’m from Noblesville, Indiana, and I
came to IU because the university offered an impressive Informatics program. I’m in the Hutton
Honors College and have been a Founders scholar for two years now. I enjoy learning new
programming languages and have had experience with many different ones, including HTML,
CSS, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and Racket. I am part of the Bloomington Symphony
Orchestra for Serve IT. I look forward to learning how to work in WordPress and how to develop
a website. In the future, I’d like to use my experience in coding and programming to design
websites, apps, and possibly video games.
